Privacy & Cookies

How we use the information you share with LMT Groundworks, how this website uses cookies, and the choices available to you.

Privacy policy

This policy covers www.lmtgroundworks.co.uk, including our quote-enquiry form and the information used to run and measure the website. It explains what happens when you browse the site, ask about a project or contact us about your information.

You can read the privacy information and browse our services without accepting optional analytics. The cookie controls described below do not prevent you from contacting us by telephone.

Who we are and how to contact us

LMT Groundworks is based in Tewkesbury and provides driveway, paving, patio and landscaping services in the surrounding areas. LMT Groundworks is responsible for how personal information collected through this website is used.

For a privacy question or request, email contact@lmtgroundworks.co.uk or call 07387947963. Please explain which information or interaction your request concerns so we can identify it.

Information we collect

Project enquiries

The quote form asks for your first and last names, telephone number, email address, a description of the work, preferred timescale and budget. You can also supply the project postcode and how you found the website. These details help us understand your requirements and respond to you.

Accepted form enquiries are saved as private records within WordPress and the website attempts to send an email notification to our team. They are not published as website content. If you email or telephone us, we also receive the information you choose to provide during that conversation. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or another person’s details unless they are needed for your enquiry.

Technical and security information

Connecting to the website involves technical information such as your IP address, browser and requested page. The form uses a session identifier, time-limited security tokens, a hidden anti-spam field, duplicate checks and a rate-limit check based on a protected hash of the submitting IP address. These help distinguish genuine requests from automated abuse.

Optional website measurement

If you allow Google Analytics, the existing Google tag connected through Site Kit can measure visits and interactions, including pages viewed, referral information, device/browser information and cookie identifiers. This helps us understand how visitors find and use the website. The quote-form contents are not added to analytics events by our form code.

How and why we use information

  • Responding to a project request: to discuss the work, answer questions, assess requirements, arrange a visit where appropriate and prepare a quotation. Where you ask us to take steps towards providing a service, the basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • Handling other correspondence: our legitimate interest in answering messages and managing our business communications.
  • Keeping the website and form working: our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure, reliable website, preventing spam and avoiding duplicate submissions.
  • Optional analytics: your consent, given through the website’s cookie controls. You can withdraw it using the control in the cookies section.
  • Privacy requests and legal obligations: to respond to applicable information rights and other requirements imposed by law.

The contact fields and project questions marked as required are needed to send the online enquiry. If you prefer not to use the form, you can call us. Rejecting optional analytics does not change those form requirements.

Providers, hosting and sharing

The website is hosted by Nexar Web Services. Website hosting and technical support involve processing website information so the site and its private enquiry records can operate. Access to those records is restricted to authorised administrators.

Website email is also provided by Nexar Web Services. That service handles the enquiry notifications delivered to our team. Your validated email address is used as the reply-to address so we can respond to your request.

Google provides the optional analytics service and the required reCAPTCHA form-protection service. These are different purposes: analytics is controlled by your optional choice; form verification protects the enquiry you choose to send. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Using Google services can involve processing outside the UK. Google explains its international processing and transfer arrangements in its data-transfer information. You can leave optional Google Analytics off and still browse the website or telephone us.

Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law or to deal with a valid legal request. The website’s enquiry form does not publish your details to social networks or review websites.

Security and external links

The website uses HTTPS, administrator-restricted enquiry records and server-side form verification. The enquiry session cookie is HttpOnly and uses Secure on HTTPS and SameSite protections. These measures reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee that every transmission is risk-free.

Google reCAPTCHA v3 assesses a form interaction for signs of automated abuse. It processes technical/browser information for its risk analysis and returns a verification result. Our server checks the result before accepting an enquiry. The Google form-protection row is marked Required in cookie settings; it is not an optional advertising or analytics switch. If verification cannot run, use the telephone contact instead.

Links to Facebook, Checkatrade and other external websites take you to services with their own policies. Following a link is different from loading an embedded tracker here. Please review the destination’s information before supplying personal details there.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the information and the applicable circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict its use or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability may apply to information you provided where the legal conditions are met.

Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. For optional analytics, use Manage cookie choices below. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

Contact us using the details above to make a request or raise a concern. We may need information to verify that we are dealing with the correct person before disclosing personal records. We will explain if a right does not apply or an exemption affects our response.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Its complaints page explains how to raise a concern. You do not have to give up that right in order to contact us first.

Cookie policy and your choices

Cookies are small items stored by your browser. Similar storage can support a single browser session. We distinguish storage needed for the website and a requested enquiry from optional analytics.

Choose what you allow

The pop-up offers Accept optional and Reject optional. Use the control below to review the Google Analytics choice, change it or withdraw it later. Required form protection has no off switch.

Manage cookie choices

Optional analytics is off until you choose to allow it. Closing the settings dialog without saving does not accept optional services. Your saved preference normally lasts 180 days; clearing the cookie, expiry or a material change to the configured policy/services will mean you are asked again. Successful saves close the interface without an extra confirmation pop-up.

Cookies and browser storage

nexar_lmt-groundworks_consent · LMT website · Essential preference
Remembers your optional-service choice and its policy revision. It contains choices and timestamps, not the enquiry contents. Lifetime: 180 days from saving; site path, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS.
lmt_quote_session · LMT website · Required form security
Binds fresh form security data to the browser session. Created when the ready enquiry form requests its security data. Lifetime: browser session. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS.
_GRECAPTCHA · Google · Required form protection
Google describes this as a necessary cookie used when reCAPTCHA runs for risk analysis. Its expiry and other provider-side storage are controlled by Google; see Google’s reCAPTCHA cookie information. Our form loads the provider when you attempt to submit, not for general site analytics.
_ga and _ga_* · Google Analytics · Optional
Used for visitor and session measurement after analytics consent. Google documents a default expiry of two years; Google settings and browser restrictions can shorten the actual lifetime. See Google Analytics cookie details.
wpEmojiSettingsSupports · WordPress · Functional session storage
May remember the browser’s emoji-display support to avoid repeating the compatibility check. Stored in sessionStorage for the browser tab/session; it is not an analytics identifier.

WordPress may also use authentication and administration cookies when an authorised user signs in. These are for account access and administration, not optional visitor analytics.

The optional adapter keeps advertising storage and advertising personalisation denied. On analytics withdrawal it disables the configured analytics collection, removes accessible analytics cookies and reloads the page without that optional tag. Our website cannot delete cookies owned by another domain or undo information already sent before withdrawal.

You can also inspect or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking essential storage may affect the enquiry form or prevent a saved preference from being remembered. If the interface cannot save a choice, it displays a warning. Without JavaScript, optional services remain off and this policy is still readable.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the website’s features, providers or information use change. The date at the top identifies the latest wording. Where the optional-service purposes materially change, the cookie interface will ask for a fresh choice.
